1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Drive Notes ("we", "us", or "our"), the provider of DriveNotes. By installing and using DriveNotes, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the extension.

2. Description of Service

DriveNotes is a Chrome extension that provides note-taking functionality with Google Drive synchronization. The service includes:

A modern block-based editor with professional formatting
Interactive checklists, tables, and code blocks
11+ professional templates for various use cases
Automatic synchronization to your Google Drive
Folder organization and search capabilities
A 7-day free trial period
Optional lifetime license purchase

3. Trial and Payment

Free Trial: New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features
Lifetime License: After the trial, continued use requires a one-time payment of $10 USD
Refund Policy: You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you are not satisfied with the service. To request a refund, contact us at hello@drivenotes.app with your purchase details
License Transfer: Licenses are non-transferable and tied to your Google account

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate information during registration
Maintain the security of your Google account
Use the service in compliance with all applicable laws
Not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the extension
Not share your license key with others

5. Data and Privacy

Your notes are stored in YOUR Google Drive, not on our servers
We store only authentication tokens and license information

You retain full ownership of your content

6. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
Scheduled maintenance will be announced when possible
We are not responsible for Google Drive or Google OAuth outages

7. Intellectual Property

DriveNotes and its code are proprietary and protected by copyright
You may not copy, modify, or distribute the extension
You retain all rights to your note content

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

DriveNotes is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
We are not liable for data loss, though we recommend regular backups
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license ($10)
We are not responsible for issues caused by Google Drive or third-party services

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to the service:

If you violate these Terms
If required by law
If we discontinue the service (with 30 days notice)

You may terminate by uninstalling the extension and revoking OAuth access.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Drive Notes operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
